THE DESIGN: Detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken with an erasable so you can see, adjust, and optimize the shape before micro-pigmentation begins to get the look you will love. THE COLOR: Our Micro Artist will consult with you about the best color.

A CONSERVATIVE APPROACH: In the 1st session, we are cautious about applying your color so as not to overdo it and be sure you like the color as it settles in over the first 2 weeks. In the second session, we will add more color and fine-tune the shape. This process ensures that your results will be great. Your eyeliner will look great after the first session, but will look even better after the 2^nd appointment. Once our mineral-based pigment is applied in thin layers using a dotting technique, you can check the work after each layer to ensure you are delighted.

TOUCH UP APPOINTMENT: Because the procedure is done in two appointments, the eyeliner is always slightly underdone in the first session, leaving room to make it thicker, darker, and longer in your 2nd appointment. During your 2^nd appointment, the shape and color are fine-tuned.

STEP 1: THE DESIGN

What happens during the eyeliner procedure?

STEP 1: The Design & Color Choice

Your technician will work with you to help choose the most natural looking color and design.

STEP 2: Pigmentation

MicroArt Semi Permanent Makeup uses a single acupuncture needle that gently vibrates on the dermal layers of the skin depositing a mineral-based pigment into the skin. A fine line is applied in between the lashes, creating a thicker lash line.

STEP 3: The Touch Up

2 weeks after your MicroArt Semi Permanent Makeup procedure, you will return for a touch-up appointment to perfect your MicroArt. This touch-up appointment is included in your price.

Will my eyeliner look normal the next day?

Yes, there will be swelling right after the procedure. The swelling starts coming down right away and in most people, it is back to normal by the following morning.

Does the eyeliner procedure hurt?

The eyeliner or lash line procedure is more psychologically scary to most clients but there are very few nerve endings in the lash line so it is an easy procedure. Before starting pigmentation a strong topical numbing cream is applied and reapplied during the procedure.

What do I need to know before the eyeliner procedure?

Arrive at your appointment 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment, well rested and relaxed in order to complete paperwork and that you get the most out of your session.
Please remove contact lenses before your procedure.

Are my eyes open during the eyeliner procedure?

No, your eyes are closed during the entire procedure, although there are frequent short breaks of a minute or two throughout the procedure so you can relax. These breaks also enable the technician to precisely calibrate the application for how it looks with your eyes open. The eyeliner procedure is safe, with a 100% safety record with thousands of satisfied MicroArt clients treated.

Drawing upon techniques from similar surgical and related procedures, experts have refined a technique specifically for MicroArt. The technician will work slowly and carefully with a stable grip on a small section of skin that immobilizes it so cannot move (and you will get many short breaks).

New clients are sometimes concerned that the needle could go into the eye. This can never happen with MicroArt due to the equipment, the technique – and the fact that MicroArt technician undergo several months of full-time training and practice before they are certified to treat patients unsupervised (unlike “permanent makeup artists” who receive several hours to a few days of training, much of it online, before doing eyeliners.

Most clients’ eyes will twitch during the procedure, this is normal.

Is it safe to drive myself after the procedure?

Yes, we use a strong local numbing cream to alleviate discomfort but this does not impair any motor skills and wears off after the procedure concludes.

Can I get the eyeliner procedure if I have eyelash extensions?

Yes, although during the process it may cause some of the eyelash extensions to fall out.

Can I have only the upper, or the lower, eyeliner applied?

Yes. Most clients choose to get both the upper and the lower MicroArt eyeliner applied for a more balanced and natural look. Both are included in the price. However, whether for a special condition or simply a preference, some clients prefer to get just the upper or just the lower treated. We customize all of our work to each client’s needs and will create the look you want to achieve.

How often do I need eyeliner maintenance appointments?

Maintenance appointments are optional. If you do not maintain MicroArt, it will completely fade away over time. We suggest that if you want to maintain your eyeliner so that they always look their best plan for scheduling a touch up once every year or two.
